Blue Earth Compost is a proud community partner in ON BOARD.
They help Mount Southington recycle food scraps into healthy soil, turning everyday actions into big wins for the Southington community and the planet.
Southington Public Schools is a proud community partner of ON BOARD.
At Thalberg Elementary, students snowboard their way through sustainability — learning to recycle, compost, and care for the planet while building confidence on the board. Snowball Park brings movement, stewardship, and fun together as part of ON BOARD.
At the heart of the ONBOARD initiative is Snowball Park—a mobile, kid-friendly environment where children learn about composting, recycling, and environmental stewardship through movement, interactive play, and storytelling from Snowball the Mascot. With a unique gym-to-slopes progression, students build confidence in physical education settings before hitting the mountain.

The Snowball Park enables cross-curricular activities that deliver many different creative setups and options. This example shows bowling and snowboarding being used together to show how kids can help knock down some of the challenges that lie ahead with climate change.
